i find that water bottles are very usefull fro many of thing their small portable easy to carry doesnt take up much room but i also find it rediculous on how much money their spending on them when you can just get tap water also its basically free, this " argument" is invalid
ReplyDeletei think i proved my point here
IM BROOKE Y'ALL. and i think we should ban the bottled water because you can buy reusable water bottles at 'em canadian tires and all, and theres all those Brita filters and stuffff.
ReplyDeleteI am in the middle, it seems a good idea to ban becuase plastic ends up in the landfills, but at the same time, if your drinking water is not clean from your tap, bottled water is one of the only ways to get water. 6,000 little bottles for $2.50 from your tap in the your house? Good deal!!
ReplyDeleteI'm for banning bottled water
ReplyDelete1. As the article said "It takes a lot of energy to produce the bottles themselves, and despite being recyclable about half of the bottles sold end up in landfills — at a direct cost to local governments." You could be fixing the tap water in the third world countries instead of spending it on making more bottled water bottles to be thrown in the landfill.
2. They said in that article "Buying a bottle of water costs approximately $2.50. The cost to produce water in the city? I can fill up 6,000 little bottles for the price of $2.50," You could be fixing the tap water in the third world countries instead of spending it on making more bottled water bottles to be thrown in the landfill.
I think they should ban bottles water in some places, not all. Just ban it in the places that dont have clean water
